UI Overview

Panel Navigation

The panels on the left of the interface expand and collapse as users get further into the hierarchy of each item. Each panel has specific functions, and most will change based on the section of the app currently active for the user.

The Main Navigation Panel for the application moves users seemlessly through the different features, views, and modules. It is also attached to the hamburger menu () in the header bar if it becomes collapsed. The Navigation Panel contains all of the top level navigation sections of the application. Based on a user’s account tiers and permission levels, some of these options may be unavailable.

List Panel

The List Panel will display the primary options within the module you have opened, and is the launch point for interacting with that module.

Details Panel

The Details Panel is another interactive panel within the module that opens when you expand any element from the List Panel.

Summary Panels

Summary Panels open in the map view, and display content based on the type of item that was clicked. Information Panels open for a number of objects, including Alerts, Places, Geofences, Data Points, Interpoint Visuals, Trips, and Journeys.

Views

In most instances, the largest portion of the viewport will be occupied by either a map view or a page view, which displays the content of the active module and changes dynamically based on what the user is doing in the navigation, list, and detail panels.

Map View

Map View is the primary viewing option for most of the application’s modules, and shows assets’ reported positions, along with any Places, Geofences, and/or Journeys, plotted on a map interface. The Map View has a number of options for customization, and a number of tools to help users interact with their assets’ reported positions.

Default: default Map View is the interface for the main data visualization modules of the application.

Shared Views: Shared Views are special map views that are accessed by a link that is either public or private. They display information according to the settings of the account holder, and can be identified by the information footer bar at the bottom of the interface.

Page View

All non-map views are page views, and they typically are functional and control-related interfaces and forms. Users will see page views for most reporting tools, administrative tools, and object mangement tools.
