Panel Content - Details Panel
Jump Navigation
At the top of the Details Panel, users will see the name and icon of the active Object, and will be able to move between that and others using the tools on the bar. First, they have the option to click the name or the down arrow to open a list of other Objects of the same type, and click any of those to jump to it. Additionally, they can use the right and left arrows to navigate through the objects list one at a time alphabetically. The information in the Details Panel will update automatically as users navigate between objects.
Options Panel
Below the Jump Navigation, users will see a series of tabs that allow them to interact with the object and view any information or actions pertinent to the active object. Available Options will vary based on the Object, but include a number of Quick Actions and other interactive tools.
Buttons (Assets)
Current Position: Displays the Asset’s current position (most recently reported position) and snaps the Map View to that position with the Asset open in the Map View. Follow Asset: If not enabled by default, activating the Follow Asset button will begin tracking the Asset’s reported positions with a line drawn between them. History Replay: Opens History Mode and prompts the user to select a time frame to view the Asset’s previously reported positions Send Waypoint: Device-specific tool, allows users to create a Waypoint on the Map and send that Waypoint to the Asset. Asset operators will then be able to see and interact with that Waypoint from their device. Set Waypoint: Allows users to create a Waypoint for an Asset using a Place from a drop-down menu, Lat/Lng coordinates, or a street address. Once the location for the Waypoint is determined, name the Waypoint and attach a message or note, then Set Waypoint. This will put a Flag status icon next to the Asset and a Waypoint entity on the Map. Add Position: Users can manually report for the Asset by clicking the map or putting Lat/Lng coordinates along with a timestamp and speed directly from the portal. When reviewing logs and viewing user-input positions, they will note that they are not from the device.
Other Interactive Tools - Assets
Route Asset: Works the same as the Get Route feature, allowing users to select a Place from the drop-down menu, then determine whether the route is through roads or direct. The calculated route will display on the Map, and users will have the option to send that Route to the asset if it supports routing functionality. Send Message: Allows users to send text messages directly to the Asset over the air. Insert the text and click Send Message. (two-way devices only) Send Command: For devices that support over the air configuring and portal-based management, users will have the ability to Set Parameters and send Raw Commands.
- Set Parameters: Varies by the Asset’s device type, and allows users to Get Parameters by activating a live pull from the device. To change or set any Parameters, tick the box next to the Parameter, then input the value.
- Reporting Intervals: users can set the normal and emergency reporting intervals. Default units are seconds.
- GPS Settings: see information in Hardware > Device Name for device-specific settings.
- Timeout and Transmission Settings: see information in Hardware > Device Name for device-specific settings.
- Battery Settings: see information in Hardware > Device Name for device-specific settings
- Data Packet Settings: see information in Hardware > Device Name for device-specific settings
- Hardware Settings: see information in Hardware > Device Name for device-specific settings
- Raw Commands: Many devices will have a drop-down menu of available commands programmed into the portal for easy scripting. For others, see information in Hardware > Device Name for device-specific commands. Once a command has been selected, use the text box to insert script, then click Send Command. Set Output: Set Driver Status: Users can manually configure the Driver Status from the portal if the operator failed to log in or has a device that doesn’t support login. Users will be prompted to choose the Driver from a drop-down menu of available Drivers, then choose a Status from a drop-down menu of Driver Status Templates, and then may add notes about the Status. Users can also view Driver Status for any Asset in the Current Driver Information box at the bottom of the page. Logs: Hosts various Asset information Logs that are not contained in the Status Notifications.

- Garmin Forms: Edit Asset: Users can change any of the characteristics from Asset setup.
- Main
- Name: Asset Name
- IMEI: Device specific identifier number (serial number)
- Sensitivity: Position grouping factor, with a default value of 50. The platform will group positions that are near one another to present a clean map interface. Set this value to 0 to disable position grouping.
- Icon: What the asset’s icon will look like on the main map interface
- Icon Sets: choose between various types of Icons available to the account
- Upload Icon: users can submit their own Icon as a custom image that will display on the Map for the Asset.
- Color: The color the asset’s icon will appear on the main map interface
- Groups: Lists the groups in which the asset has been included
- Users: Lists the users that have access to view and interact with the asset, can be toggled to enable/disable

- General information
- IMEI: International Mobile Equipment Identifier - unique device ID number used by networks
- Serial number: Unique device identifier provided by the manufacturer
- Software version: Operating system version
- Notes: Open field
- Photo: Allows photo of asset to be added
- SIM information
- ICCID: SIM card’s unique serial number
- Phone Number: Number associated with the SIM
- Pin Code: Open field for customer utilization
- Pin Unlock Key: Open field for customer utilization
- Provider: Carrier that provides service
- Driver information
- Mission: Name of the reason to log trips
- Driver: Driver’s name
- Phone Number: Contact info for the Driver
- License Number: Driver’s license number
- National Identity Card Number: Passport or other identifying document
- Vehicle information
- Fuel efficiency: Data entry by the user
- Make/model: Make refers to the manufacturer, model refers to the product line
- Purchase date: Date the organization acquired the asset
- VIN: Seventeen alphanumeric characters that identify the specific vehicle
- Plate number: License plate number(s) associated with the vehicle
- Vessel information
- Name: Vessel name
- Call Sign: Radio broadcast identity
- Flag of registry: Used to identify the ship’s origin country
- IMO number: Format is usually IMO followed by seven digits
- MMSI: Maritime Mobile Service Identity
- Tonnage: Weight
- Class: Type of vessel
- Skipper: Captain’s information
- General information
- Settings: Allows users to manage the ways in which the device operates or interacts with the portal.
- Out of service: Toggle yes/no
- Draw lines between positions: Visualization in map views; toggle yes/no
- Snap lines to roads: Visualization in map views; toggle yes/no
- Use GPS corrected magnetic course: Toggle yes/no
- Suppress emergency alerts: Toggle yes/no
- Popup incoming text messages: Toggle yes/no
- Message destination ID: Method for routing text messages between devices that do not support address books. Template is “{Destination ID}:{Message}”. A quick example is device A has an ID of “1” and device B has an ID of “2”, device A can send a message to device B by typing “2:hello device B”
- Device password: Password to generate to mobile messages for authentication. Only specific devices require passwords for mobile terminated messages
- Transmit encryption key: Encryption key for to-mobile messages, if device supports encryption and enabled
- Hide information: Options to the user whether or not to hide the following information

- Spatial reference system: Select from a drop-down list of the sources of geolocation data
- Clear asset history: Users can clear data reported by the asset
- Current status information: Displays yes, no, or unknown as a status indication for each of the following pieces of information

- Analog tolerance: Voltage variance on remote terminal I/O pin to trigger a level change
- I/O mapping template: Select from a drop down of templates in the portal, or manage templates to create one
- Input - analog pin: Users have the option to manually insert the I/O map for the device
- Driver: Users can also set the Driver for the asset from this menu option, and they can view the current Driver information and status (if any)
- Alerts: Displays a list of alerts that have been assigned to the asset
- Garmin: Configure Garmin FMI features on supported devices. Integrated features include synchronization of the selected items including Driver username/password, Driver status, canned messages, Garmin forms, sending text messages to/from Drivers, and sending destinations to the remote Garmin screen.
- Contacts: Displays the other assets the mobile apps can message Delete Asset: Users can permanently delete the Asset directly from the Details Panel. Once deleted, Assets cannot be recovered, and will have to be added back to the portal manually via the Add Item module.
Other Interactive Tools - Groups
Send Message: Gives users the ability to send the same message to all Assets in the Group simultaneously. Follow Group: If not enabled by default, activating the Follow Group button will begin tracking the Assets’ reported positions with a line drawn between them. History Replay: Opens History Mode and prompts the user to select a time frame to view the Assets’ previously reported positions. Duplicate Group: Creates a copy of the Group, allowing users to set new parameters for the new group, and add or remove Assets. Edit Group: Users can edit any of the attributes assigned to the Group when created, including adding and removing devices from the Group, changing its name and color, and changing the Users that have access to it. Delete Group: Users can permanently delete the Group directly from the Details Panel. Once deleted, Groups cannot be recovered, and will have to be added back to the portal manually via the Add Item module.
Notification Tabs
Positions
Address: Displays the approximation of the address for the Asset’s most recently reported position. Lat/Lng: Displays the coordinates of the Asset’s most recently reported position. Time: Displays the date and time of the Asset’s most recently reported position. Current Position: Displays all information reported from the most recently reported position, with a clickable button to show the position on the Map and snap the interface to it. Search: Users can search the Date and Time to filter the Position log. Positions: Users will see a list of detailed positions that are clickable and sorted by time with the most recent positions first. Clicking any position will snap the Map to that position. Users can page through Postions using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the list.
Alerts
Type: Type of Event Address: Displays the approximation of the address for the Asset’s position at the time the Alert was triggered. Lat/Lng: Displays the coordinates of the Asset’s position at the time the Alert was triggered. Time: Displays the date and time of the Asset’s position at the time the Alert was triggered. Search: Users can search the Address, Lat/Lng, Date, and Time to filter the Alert log. Alerts: Users will see a list of detailed Alerts that are clickable and sorted by time with the most recent Alerts first. Clicking any Alert Address will snap the Map to that position. Users can page through Alerts using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the list.
- Alert Triggered: displays the summary information for the Alert
- Globe icon: click the Globe to snap the map to the location of the Alert.
- Details: expand the Alert further to see the Alert message, view details about the trigger conditions, view resolution notes, add notes, and acknowledge the Alert
- Alternative Ack.: button will display the text chosen by the user, and will notify stakeholders as set up by the user
- Acknowledge: button will display the text chosen by the user, and will notify stakeholders as set up by the user
Events
Type: Type of Event Address: Displays the approximation of the address for the Asset’s reported position during the Event. Lat/Lng: Displays the coordinates of the Asset’s reported position during the Event. Time: Displays the date and time of the Asset’s reported position during the Event. Search: Users can search the Date and Time, Address, or Lat/Lng to filter the Event log. Events: Users will see a list of detailed Events that are clickable and sorted by time with the most recent Events first. Clicking any Event will snap the Map to that Event’s position. Users can page through Events using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the list.
Status
Search: Users can search to filter the Status log. Positions: Users will see a list of detailed Status Updates that are clickable and sorted by time with the most recent updates first. Clicking any update will snap the Map to that update’s position. Users can page through Status updates using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the list.
Messages
Type: Type of Message Time: Displays the date and time the Message was Sent (message to) or received (message from). i icon: On Messages to devices from the portal, users can hover the i icon to see a preview of the Message text. Search: Users can search to filter the Message log. Messages: Users will see a list of Messages that are sorted by time with the most recent Messages first. Each entry in the Message log will show the Time, Method (to or from), and Status (if included). Users can page through Messages using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the list.
